An insurance associate is responsible for performing a mix of administrative as well as functional duties in an insurance department. Specific duties of an insurance associate could include filing applications for insurance policies; solving doubts of customers; calculating premiums for customers as and when demanded; keeping track of payments of customers; assisting in preparation of various administrative reports; participating in preparation of training documents; receiving incoming calls and making outbound calls to other divisions; handling administrative issues pertaining to the insurance associate role; meeting up-selling and cross-selling goals; and performing various other duties as required. An insurance associate typically reports to an insurance manager.
An insurance associate should have an associate\'s degree or a bachelor\'s degree in a relevant area. Excellent academic credentials are essential. Prior experience working as an insurance associate may be helpful.
