*Supervising the BODs (Board of Directors) in promoting market orientation to provide better opportunities for the rural poor to enable them to benefit from agricultural markets and help them to adapt to latest challenges and threats.
*Handling a team of BODs to adopt a value chain approach so that the range of clients goes beyond farmers to include input providers, producers, producer organizations and processors and traders.
*Facilitating efficient marketing infrastructure such as wholesale, retail and assembly markets and storage facilities for cost-effective marketing, to minimize post-harvest losses and reduce health risks.
*Looking after the BODs in providing efficient market information with up-to-date information on prices and other market factors enabling farmers to negotiate with traders and also facilitating spatial distribution of products from rural areas to towns and between markets.
*Coordinating the BODs in organizing training for farmers on agricultural marketing and market-led-extension.
*Facilitating agricultural value chain and food marketing with the support of professionals and experts in the business.
